Congratulations on your engagement! Your wedding ceremony requires special preparation. Please read the following information carefully. It is critical that you phone the parish office as soon as you are ready to start preparations. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Six months notice is required for your ceremony.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR MARRIAGE:

1.    A New Baptismal Certificate (for the catholic party)
You will need to write or phone the parish where you were baptized

2.    Letter of Freedom
Required for both bride and groom.

3.    Marriage License
This may be obtained from any licensing office. A marriage license expires in three months. Names and address, including postal codes & phone number of witnesses, are also required

4.    Wedding Service Program
Couples are invited to choose Readings, Processional Forms and other details of the wedding ceremony.

5.    Musical Program
The Holy Spirit Music Board is charged with the responsibility of judging the artistry and suitability of any music suggested for worship. Every couple must have their wedding music approved by one of our Pastoral Musicians. Please contact them for approval of your proposed music program.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL THE DOCUMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED TO THE PARISH OFFICE AT LEAST ONE MONTH BEFORE THE WEDDING.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSES:

All couples preparing for marriage today are expected to make their own arrangements to attend a marriage Preparation Course. Married couples in our parish offer a local Marriage Preparation Program. Our parish offers three marriage programs each year. Our program is based on the Couple-Pack Series "Evening for the Engaged" which is hosted by couples from our parish community. Parish provides input on the Wedding Liturgy.
