Welcome to the Holy Spirit Baptismal Preparation Program!

Our program consists of a telephone call from one of our Priests. A Baptism Preparation Workshop is mandatory (if not done within the past 2 years) and finally the arrangement of your Baby’s Baptism. We have provided you with this folder of reading materials and ask that you review them. Tucked in the front of the folder, is a list of discussion questions we would like you to read, as we will be exploring them during the workshop. Please bring your baptismal kit to the Tuesday evening workshop. When you have finished reading the material, please phone the parish office at 403-251-3381 to pre-register for a workshop. The workshop is from 7:00-9:00pm on one of the evenings listed below. The evening consists of a discussion of some highlights of the material, a review of the symbols of baptism and their meanings, a short presentation by one or more of our Baptism team members and a general overview of how and when your baby’s baptism will commence. Following are workshop dates for 2012.

After the workshop is completed, you may phone the church to request a Baptism date for your child. Baptism can be done by either immersion or pouring at the “Baptisms after the Mass” and the preferred option “During the Mass” would be Baptism by Immersion.
